What wonderful news that you will become a mother! Along with this important role, you also start writing an endless list of baby necessities.
But at the top of the list should be newborn care products. Have you done this yet? Have you written everything you need? Are you sure you didn't miss anything?
I have prepared for you a list of things necessary for baby care. So let's see what's on her!
diapers
I recommend buying just one or two bags of newborn diapers. The small one will grow very quickly and you will need to go up to the next size very soon. It would be advisable to have a basket in which to keep a few diapers for the moments when you want to change the baby.

Wet wipes
In the diaper basket you can also put the wet wipes that you will use for every diaper change. It is important to clean the area well to avoid irritation.
Diaper cream
After you have cleaned the newborn, before putting on the new diaper, you must anoint it with a special cream for diapers. This prevents irritation and keeps baby's skin still soft. Put this one in the bin along with the wet wipes and diapers.
reamer
To avoid unpleasant incidents during diaper changes, put a waterproof trough under the baby. In case of any accident, your bed will remain intact, without a single stain.
Bath tub
The first bath of the newborn will certainly be one full of emotions. You have to pay attention to a few details so that the experience is as pleasant as possible. The tub you choose must be a sturdy one, with a backrest or special support for the baby. I don't recommend a collapsible bassinet because there is a chance that the baby will catch their hand or foot.
The newborn does not need a lot of water, so for his safety fill the tub with water about 8-10 cm.
Water thermometer
You want your baby to enjoy your bath and make it a pleasure for both of you, not a pain. That's why, from the very first child, make sure you give him the right conditions. And one of the most important is the water temperature. If it's too hot, it will burn and become afraid of water, and if it's too cold, it will start to shiver and cry again, associating water with crying.
To avoid such situations you only need a water thermometer that will tell you when the water is at the right temperature around 37-38 °C for putting the baby in it. That way the baby will be happy with him and you.
Bath towel
After the bath, the baby must be wiped with its own towel, due to the undeveloped immune system. Hooded towels are recommended because they are also very practical, and if you bathe them yourself, they will really help you.
Brush and comb
You'll want your baby to have their own soft-bristle brush, specially made for their soft hair.
Baby cream or oil
After the bath your baby will really like to give him a massage. Choose a cream or oil as mild as possible, specially made for the baby's sensitive skin, it must not contain perfume.
Nail scissors with rounded tip
You will be amazed when you see how fast a baby's nails grow. So, you will need to cut them often. Often the nails are cut while the newborn is sleeping because they are not moving and the risk of injury is low. A pair of scissors with a rounded tip is just fine.
Ear sticks
For ear hygiene, ear sticks with stoppers are recommended to avoid accidents.
Sterile compresses and saline
The newborn needs special hygiene because he is not ready to come into contact with all the microbes around him. You will do a special hygiene for the eyes, especially in its first month of life. With a sterile compress soaked in physiological serum, you will wipe the eye from the outer corner to the inner one. You must use a different compress for each eye, to avoid the transmission of a possible infection.
Nose pump
The baby's crib must be cleaned carefully, and a manual pump will help. If the mucus is hardened, you can put a drop or two of physiological serum or sea water in the baby's nostril to soothe them.
Gum thimble
From the first days after the arrival of the little one in the world, his mouth must be cleaned, especially if he is fed with powdered milk formula. You can do this with a special silicone thimble for gums and teeth.
Disinfectant
Because newborns do not have a developed immune system, it is advisable to wash your hands or disinfect them with a special product every time you hold them. Anyone who wants to see the baby must do the same.
Liquid laundry detergent
New clothes should be washed with a special baby detergent that is gentle on a newborn's sensitive skin. After the clothes have dried, they must be ironed for proper sanitation.
This is a list of the essentials for newborn care, but you can adapt it according to your own wishes.
